SITE MANAGER | WELLINGTON
CRE8 Talent is working with our client, a well-established construction business based in Wellington, who is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team.
If you're a trade-qualified carpenter who knows how to run a site properly, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Being a good Site Manager isn't about standing around telling people what to do.
It's about knowing what needs to happen before it becomes a problem.
It's about keeping trades moving, materials arriving when they should, standards high, paperwork under control and everyone going home safely.
And when something doesn't go to plan?
You sort it.
The role
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of construction sites, working closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team to make sure projects are delivered safely, to the required quality and on programme.
You'll be the person keeping the site moving.
That means:
What you'll bring
First and foremost, you'll be an experienced, trade-qualified carpenter who understands construction from the ground up.
You'll have strong knowledge of construction methods and materials, quality standards and site safety.
But technical knowledge is only part of it.
We're looking for someone who is organised, switched on and practical.
Someone who can keep multiple moving parts under control without losing sight of the detail.
You'll be someone who:
We're not looking for someone who simply wants a Site Manager title.
We're looking for someone who cares about how a site is run.
Someone who notices the small things before they become big things.
Someone who can earn the respect of a subcontractor, give clear direction to the team, work constructively with the Project Manager and still get stuck into whatever needs doing to keep the project moving.
If that's you, we'd like to talk.
If you're ready for a role where your experience, judgement and leadership genuinely make a difference, get in touch with Kat Evans @ CRE8 Talent for a confidential conversation.
