- You're someone who can juggle several things without becoming flustered.
CRE8 Talent is working with The Persephone Foundation to find someone pretty special for this role.
PA & Events Coordinator
Part time | Auckland | Approx. 16 hours per week - opportunity to take on further responsibilities and increase hours for the right person.
Some roles are simply jobs.
This isn't one of them.
This is an opportunity to work closely with the Founder of an organisation built around women, creativity, healing, connection and making space for people to be heard.
The Persephone Foundation is creating a community where women and allies can come together through creative writing, art, events and conversation. Through Finding Persephone, the Foundation explores healing, growth and the regeneration of mind, body and spirit, with a real focus on turning difficult stories into something powerful and creative.
The work is varied, interesting and very human.
One week you could be helping bring a poetry competition together. The next you might be coordinating judges, working with sponsors, preparing for an event or helping pull together the next community gathering.
Alongside that, you'll work closely with the Founder, helping manage her calendar, inbox, communications, meetings and the many moving parts that come with running a growing organisation.
The big thing is this.
You'll become someone the Founder can genuinely rely on.
Someone who knows what needs doing, keeps things moving, notices the detail and doesn't need to be asked about everything.
You'll have a good amount of autonomy and the chance to get involved in areas well beyond traditional PA work.
What you'll get involved in;
You'll help coordinate the Foundation's creative competitions, including poetry, photography and writing, from getting everything organised through to judging and announcing the winners.
You'll help bring events and gatherings to life, working with venues, judges, sponsors, suppliers and contributors and making sure all the little things are taken care of.
You'll manage the Founder's calendar and inbox, help prepare for meetings and speaking engagements, coordinate travel and bookings and generally make life easier for someone who has a lot happening at once.
You'll also help with communications, community relationships, records and the day to day organisation behind the Foundation as it continues to grow.
There will be admin.
Of course there will.
But this is far more than an admin role.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone organised, switched on and capable who genuinely cares about the work.
You might come from PA, events, administration, communications, the creative sector, a not for profit or somewhere completely different.
What matters more is how you operate.
You're someone who can juggle several things without becoming flustered.
You have excellent written communication and good judgement.
You're discreet and understand that some conversations and information need to stay private.
You are comfortable working independently and aren't waiting around for someone to give you a list every morning.
You notice things.
You follow things through.
And you care about doing a good job.
An interest in women's issues, social justice, creative writing, poetry, art or community work would be a huge plus.
You don't need to have done exactly this role before.
You do need to care about why the role exists.
Why this opportunity is different
You'll be working directly alongside the Founder, so you'll see the impact of your work.
You'll be close to the ideas, the people, the events and the conversations that are shaping the Foundation.
There is plenty of opportunity to bring your own ideas too.
This is a small organisation, which means you won't disappear into a big corporate machine. If you have a good idea, you'll have the opportunity to put it forward. If something needs fixing, you'll have the chance to help fix it.
And if you're someone who gets energy from being involved in meaningful work with good people, I think you'll really enjoy this.
16 hours a week, flexible working, Auckland
$60,000 to $80,000 full time equivalent, pro rata
If you're looking for something a little different and this sounds like you, Kat Evans from CRE8 Talent would love to hear from you.
