Portrait of Denise Evans

Denise Evans

Director | Principal Dispute Resolution

Denise Evans has spent more than 30 years in business, working with people, leading teams and helping businesses resolve the challenges that come with managing people. That experience gives her a practical understanding of how workplaces operate and why communication, leadership and relationships are critical to long-term success.

As an accredited mediator, facilitator and trainer, Denise works with businesses, government agencies, local government, iwi, schools, community organisations and individuals across Aotearoa. While she is highly experienced in resolving conflict, much of her work is focused on preventing it. By helping leaders develop the confidence to have difficult conversations early, improving communication and strengthening workplace relationships, Denise helps clients address issues before they become formal disputes.

Her work includes workplace mediation, leadership development, conflict management training, facilitated workshops, employment relationship matters, team interventions and organisational change. Every programme is tailored to the people involved, providing practical tools that can be applied long after the workshop or mediation has finished.

Denise also works extensively within tikanga Māori frameworks and has significant experience supporting iwi, Māori organisations and government agencies. She understands the importance of whakawhanaungatanga, manaakitanga and respecting the cultural values that shape conversations and decision-making. Her ability to work comfortably across both tikanga Māori and contemporary business environments enables her to create culturally safe, respectful processes where people feel heard and valued.

Alongside her workplace practice, Denise provides independent mediation and facilitated conversations for private matters, including family, relationship and community disputes. She understands that conflict affects every part of life and brings the same calm, balanced and practical approach regardless of the setting.

Clients value Denise for her professionalism, fairness and ability to guide conversations that many people find difficult. She listens without judgement, creates space for honest discussion and helps people find practical ways forward. As the founder of CRE8 Resolve, Denise has brought together a team of specialists who believe that the best results come from building capability, strengthening relationships and addressing issues early. Whether supporting a business through change, coaching leaders, facilitating difficult conversations or mediating complex disputes, Denise's focus is on helping people move forward with clarity, confidence and respect.
