Helping families have difficult conversations with respect and dignity.
Family matters are deeply personal. Whether you're navigating separation, parenting arrangements, relationship property or wider family issues, respectful communication creates better outcomes for everyone involved. We provide independent family mediation focused on practical solutions while preserving important relationships wherever possible.
What family mediation actually is
Family mediation provides a safe, structured environment for people to discuss difficult issues with the support of an experienced independent mediator. Rather than asking someone else to decide the outcome, mediation gives families the opportunity to create solutions that work for their own circumstances.
The process remains confidential and focuses on respectful communication and future planning.
Why experience matters
Family conversations require empathy, patience and neutrality. Mediation is a process not an event, as the relationships between family members continue way beyond resolution of the dispute.
With decades of mediation experience, we understand how to manage complex emotions while keeping discussions constructive and focused on achievable outcomes.
How mediation works
Each participant has the opportunity to speak privately before any joint discussions take place. Participants can also choose to access conflict coaching and preparation for mediation, and other resources, to get the best they can out of the process.
The mediation itself is carefully designed and facilitated, allowing everyone to contribute, explore options and work towards practical agreements. Where agreement is reached it is documented clearly for future reference, with a process for changes to be made as children's needs change and for future dispute resolution. Our mediators also deliver Family Dispute Resolution and provide FDR outcome forms.
