About the Role

About the Role
You'll take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors and clients, you'll play a key role in every stage of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects through every stage of delivery, from planning to completion.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts and overall commercial performance.
- Administer contracts and understand industry-standard contract frameworks, including NZS3910, NZS3916 and FIDIC.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Coordinate closely with design teams to ensure practical, buildable engineering solutions.
- Review engineering designs across civil, mechanical, process and automation disciplines.
- Identify and manage project risks while maintaining programme and quality objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
- Ensure project documentation, reporting and stakeholder communication remain accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project reviews.
About You
You're an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys leading projects, solving problems and working collaboratively to deliver exceptional outcomes.
You'll ideally bring:
- A degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or extensive experience in horizontal infrastructure construction.
- At least five years' experience in project delivery, engineering or site management.
- Experience within the water and wastewater sector or comparable infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of civil and mechanical construction practices.
- A solid understanding of the complete project lifecycle from concept through to commissioning.
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and contract administration.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
- A positive, team-focused approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding client outcomes.
