Free Spirit Holistic Health Services is growing - and Kelly has a pretty exciting vision for what comes next. She’s building a holistic health offering across the Auckland region, with a particular passion for making great practitioners and complementary health services more accessible throughout South Auckland.
And right now, she’s looking for an Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist who would like to become part of it. These are contractor opportunities, but we’re not simply looking for people to fill treatment rooms. We’re looking for practitioners who are seriously passionate about what they do. People who are curious, bring ideas, genuinely care about their clients and like the thought of being part of a multidisciplinary health business while it’s still growing.
Think a little less traditional clinic. A little more health start-up energy. The philosophy behind Free Spirit is holistic and person-centred – looking at the individual and what they need rather than treating one symptom or one modality in isolation. That’s also why bringing different practitioners together matters.
The vision is to create an environment where different disciplines can complement one another, practitioners can learn from each other, and clients have access to a broader range of approaches to their health and wellbeing.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Acupuncturist
Acupuncture is an exciting addition to the Free Spirit offering and an important part of the broader multidisciplinary vision. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about their modality and confident in their expertise, but equally interested in how acupuncture can sit alongside other approaches to health, movement and wellbeing.
You’ll be comfortable working independently, but you’ll also enjoy being part of something bigger – sharing knowledge, building relationships and working alongside practitioners from different disciplines.
Massage Therapist
We’re looking for someone whose idea of massage goes beyond simply providing a lovely hour of relaxation. There is absolutely a place for that - but we’re particularly interested in practitioners with strong therapeutic capability, including those experienced in Tui Na, Emmett Technique, deep tissue or other therapeutic modalities, or someone genuinely interested in developing further in these areas.
It’s about understanding what the person in front of you actually needs and tailoring your approach accordingly.
AND THE PRACTICAL STUFF...
There’s real flexibility around how these opportunities could work. You could be well established and looking to add something different to your week. You might already have your own client base or practice. You might be earlier in your career and looking for somewhere you can develop. You might want a couple of days initially, with the opportunity to build from there. We’re open to the conversation.
Rather than forcing the right person into a predetermined box, Kelly is much more interested in finding practitioners who genuinely connect with the Free Spirit vision and then working together to figure out what makes sense.
Free Spirit has a strong foundation and an ambitious vision for where it goes next. This is an opportunity to get involved early enough to have a voice, established enough that there’s something real to build from, and alongside a founder with no shortage of enthusiasm for where she wants to take it.
